National Doctors' Day 2012
March 30th marks National Doctors' Day, a day on which we honor and recognize the incredible contributions doctors make in our communities and in the study and advancement of medical science. Commemorating the anniversary of the first use of a general anesthetic in surgery, the event was first observed in 1933 and officially recognized as a national holiday by the US government in 1990.
National Doctors' Day is an annual celebration that provides an opportunity to say "thank you" to a physician at HSS who made a difference in your life or that of someone you love. You can join us as we celebrate and honor our medical staff by sharing your patient story on our website, Facebook or Twitter. We also invite you to show your gratitude to your HSS doctor by making a gift that will provide critical general support for Hospital for Special Surgery.
*Remember to take advantage of your employer's matching gift program. By filling out a simple form, you may double or triple the amount, and impact, of your gift!
Should you have questions regarding your matching gift form, or have general inquiries regarding your gift, please call 646.797.8728.
